Tournament summary – It is “Father’s Day” and the last round of the US OPEN, so how did we get 10 groups out?? It was because we had such a early tee time (8:45 am) that we could all finish before family gatherings or before the late groups teed off for the US OPEN. Dale Okazaki felt motivated enough to walk to the golf course in the morning. I guess that extra “warm up” helped him cash by netting 70. Laville even attempted to play with a “bum” foot and didn’t do too badly either with a net of 70 and a win over Bob Lee in match play.

Bobby said that everyone gave him an earful in the morning that he would “suck” if he lost to a “cripple”, but can’t I get any credit for playing good?? The father-son duel of Lawrence and Brandon both netted 68, but couldn’t touch the NET 65 that Dave Ball put up. He must have had some hot front nine as he took a 6 UP lead against Mike Parsons going into the turn. Oh yeah he did win his match.

Clothing Optional: In the drizzle and showers we all have our “rain gear” on and Bobby Lee bragged about what a great deal he got on his rain jacket. A few holes later Bobby complained about how he hates playing golf with clothes. We said hold on a minute this is not a “clothing optional club”. He took off his jacket and hit a great shot, but I told him your shirt better not come off on your next bad shot, Ross said I’m more worried about his pants. So who wants to play with Bobby the next time it rains??
